Forces Equine is proud to announce an exciting international expansion, having been approached to extend its equitation-based opportunities to members of the Canadian military, frontline workers, veterans, and their families.
This initiative was sparked by Captain Iska Scholl (pictured with her husband) of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery (RCA) Reserves, who envisioned creating a central hub for individuals across Canada to connect, communicate, compete, and come together through the shared passion for equestrian sport. Upon reaching out to Forces Equine’s founder—who shares a personal connection to Canada through her dual-national father—the partnership was formed with enthusiasm and purpose.
“I am immensely proud to be able to branch out to our friends across the pond and offer whatever support we can, giving participants something meaningful to work towards,” said the founder of Forces Equine. “Once Iska shared her vision, I immediately began sourcing Canadian-based partners, including a rosette producer and other supporting businesses. I strongly believe in championing local companies, so working with Canadian suppliers was a natural and important step. We are delighted to be part of this journey and are excited to see it grow.” Said Debi Heath French, founder of Forces Equine.
The program will initially focus on Dressage, Show Jumping, and Eventing, delivered through virtual leagues that will include finals and quarterly recognition awards. Forces Equine is also pleased to confirm that its partners at E-Riders will support the Dressage leagues, with competitions launching from May 2026.
During the early stages, Canadian participants will be integrated into existing Forces Equine leagues. As the community grows, plans are already in motion to establish a dedicated Forces Equine International League, further strengthening global connections within the equestrian and service communities.
Captain Scholl commented: “We are incredibly excited to collaborate with Forces Equine to create opportunities for our community across Canada. This initiative provides not only a platform for competition, but also a sense of connection and shared purpose.”
Forces Equine invites participants to explore the newly launched dedicated page for its Canadian community. While expanding internationally, the organisation remains grounded in its core identity: We are one family. We are Forces Equine—UK and beyond. We are stronger together.
