How this league works
Getting involved is straightforward — just follow three easy steps:
1. Compete
Enter eligible Novice‑level dressage tests at recognised competitions or approved online events. Both affiliated and unaffiliated results count toward league standings.
2. Submit Your Scores
Upload your results via the official Forces Equine system so your performance is included in the league leaderboard.
3. Earn Points & Progress
Points are awarded based on your percentage score. Your accumulated points determine your position on the leaderboard, and top performers may qualify for the Forces Equine Championships.
The Novice Dressage League operates with clear, fair rules to ensure a consistent and enjoyable competitive experience:
Eligibility
- Open to all riders within the Forces Equine community
- Each horse‑and‑rider combination scores separately
- Only results from eligible Novice‑level tests at recognised competitions or approved online events will count toward the league standings
Points and Rankings
Points are awarded based on percentage scores (see table above). League leaderboards are updated regularly to reflect current standings.
Submitting Results
- All scores must be submitted through the official Forces Equine system
- Only complete and verified results will be counted
Conduct
- Riders and horses are expected to compete with sportsmanship, respect, and fairness

- Accumulate Points – compete in eligible Novice‑level tests and earn points
- Consistency Matters – best results across the season count toward qualification
- Leaderboard Ranking – top horse‑and‑rider combinations at season end will be invited to compete at the Championships
Key Notes:
- Results from both affiliated and unaffiliated competitions count
- Each horse‑and‑rider combination qualifies independently
- Qualification is confirmed by the Forces Equine committee before the Championships
