Royal Air Force Equestrian Championships 2026

The RAF Championships were held 12-15 April at a new venue hosted by Elms Farm Equestrian Centre in Lincolnshire.The event was open to serving RAF, Army, Navy and Police riders.

It was very well supported by Forces Equine riders in particular from police competitors attending from the following forces: Met, Wiltshire, South East ROCU, West Midlands, South Yorkshire, Humberside, Thames Valley and Lincolnshire.All the police attendees were placed in their classes, and a breakdown of the results are shown below.

Sunday hosted clear round, with Monday and Tuesday hosting dressage and show jumping classes including the LIHS first qualifier.In the top 10, we had three police riders gain some valuable points and get themselves onto the leaderboard where the top 8 will go through to LIHS with two reserves announced at the end of the fourth qualifier.

Overall, a very successful event, showcasing the amazing support for one another with us all pitching in to help with reading dressage tests, warm up fences, videoing rounds and cheering each other on!

Well done to all the participants. We look forward to some of us attending the Blue Lights PSUK Northern championships at Bishop Burton on the 3^rd-4^th May. For those who cannot attend, I am sure we will catch up at Royal Windsor on the 16^th May, Army Championships 26-27 May and of course Forces Equine Games on the 5-7 June!
