Report by Alison Miles
"Martha and Bob (Father Ted III) have been selected to represent the SW in the Novice team champs at the U25's National Dressage Championships at Sheepgate in August, so really chuffed. Martha especially pleased as it is their first year.
Bob came to us in April 2018 as 'unride-able'. He had been hacked and hunted as youngster after coming over from Ireland but no flat work. He was sold on but had a really nasty accident with his new owner – involved getting tangled up in an electric fence. He ended up with a friend at a riding school but just freaked every time he was ridden, ditched his rider (including the working pupil!) and galloped back to the stables. Martha rode him and just got on with him, we ended up buying him with no expectation other than give him a nice home and we have gone carefully from there. He is such a lovely chap, loves dressage and adores Martha."
We will let you know how it goes at Sheepgate.
The team at Forces Equine would like to wish Martha & Bob the best of luck in August and will keep you all posted on their progress!
