As always our members have been out and about strutting their stuff and this weekend was no different. Deputy Governor Caroline Vine took a team of Forces Equine members to the Northern Championships at Bishop Burton on Sunday 25th August 2019.
Caroline's debut as Team Manager for this event, was the first time she'd taken the reins with leading an event on behalf of FE. All competitors had a great time and newbies were made to feel so welcome and meet fellow FE'ers.
Well what can we say, they came back with some fantastic results despite being called Equine Services, all knew they were Forces Equine!
"Well done Forces Equine, Champions,
Three great adults and a brilliant junior!" said Les Hubbard, Chairman of BRC Area 16.
Grassroots Dressage Team
Forces Equine snatched first place with the following members in the team;
- Luna McKillop-Burton
- PO Georgina Downs
- PO Debi Rotherforth
- PO Stephanie Richardson
Senior Novice Dressage Team
Forces Equine managed a worthy 3rd place with the following members in the team;

- Charlotte Bagshaw
"Well done to Sian Lovett, Debi Rotherforth, Stephanie Richardson, Charlotte Jane Bagshaw, Georgina Danielle Downs, Luna, Saul Vine and their supporters and helpers for a fabulous day despite the intense heat and challenging arena surfaces. You all represented Forces Equine fabulously and we were the loudest ones when it came to the award presentations cheering. We even managed to get some riders interested in joining FE. We serve, we ride and we had fun. Well done all" said Caroline.

"Wilton and I had a wonderful time at Bury Farm high profile show. To think it was a year ago we did our first INTER 1, and we've had the hiccup this year of him being disobedient in test situations. Dare I say i think we are over that. He has behaved impeccably and given me all he had. We were 2nd in the PSG and 3rd in the Inter 1. We've had beautiful weather and travelling all that way with 2 dogs and a horse on my own didn't seem too bad!" Well done Sally, amazing result!
Chief Inspector Lesley Wheatley
Forces Equine Lesley Wheatley competed at Sheepgate and took home a win becoming the Elementary Silver Summer National Music Champion.
This pair have been out and about with Forces Equine for a couple of years now and continue to raise the bar.
As ever, Pedro Pooch tagged along and even made it onto the podium!
Well done Lesley, super result!

"Yesterday at Treborough British Event I took part in the 4yo class (BE90) it was our last chance to qualify for the UK 4yo championships held at Osberton and we had to win the class to qualify!!!
We got the top dressage mark (26) and then a clear SJ, so all we needed was a clear XC, but there was lots of questions and I wasn't sure what he'd make of it!!?? Well he loved it and flew around, so we finished on our dressage score with 4 clear points to take the win!! Now we are planning/preparing for the champs!!" said Helen. Amazing result Helen and looking fab in full FE kit #FlyingTheFlag!

"Millie today was a superstar, we just found the accumulator a bit quick for our liking 😂 but still as sassy as ever flying round!! 🦄 Marley is the superstar with a 3rd dc this morning and then went on to win 🥇❤with a very, very fast double clear so good he's bounced back from yesterday and hasn't even bothered him in the slightest!!!" said Christie.
Not on the members round up? If you have not appeared, then we don't know about what you have been up to. All Forces Equine members are entitled to appear on Spotlight Online and our magazine, simply email your pictures and report to spotlight@forcesequine.com and we will do the rest!
