Lucinda is delighted to announce her appointment as an ambassador to Forces Equine (www.forcesequine.com) who are a non-profit, volunteer run organisation. The Forces Equine community is run by the community it serves and encourages input from all their serving and dependent riders to boost the sport wherever they are posted in the world.
Forces Equine currently have 3600+ members from Nepal to Lossiemouth. Their main aim is to keep their riders, new and experienced, in the saddle no matter where they are in the world or what they are doing.
Lucinda said "My father was a Major in the Army so I spent a lot of my childhood moving around from Africa to Germany and the UK, I spent a lot of my time learning to ride in Herford saddle club in Germany before hitting the German show jumping circuit and other European Events. In Rheindhalen there was an indoor and outdoor school with a great field of cross country fences which I continuously burned around with any horse I could lay my hands on and we spent summers in army pony clubs sharing horses between us".
Once back in the UK at age 13 Lucinda's family were based in the police stables near Aldershot for 5 years, this is really where Lucinda's riding career started to take off and she realised it was going to be more serious.
